Healthy Breakfast: Devotionals

In my previous blog on the same subject Healthy Breakfast, I made mention of prayer as the best way to start your healthy breakfast. In my case, I do use devotionals which I read just before I eat my healthy breakfast. They are the following:

-       Companion
-       Didache
-       Sabbath

Healthy Breakfast: Companion

A Scripture Diary which makes Bible reading easier each day. It contains the day's Mass readings and Psalm plus a one year Bible reading plan, a daily journal space, enlightening commentaries and teaching inserts and other useful features. This is a good way to start your prayer just right before you eat your healthy breakfast. There is a part in this diary which allows you to list all your prayer requests and this also serves a gratitude journal. Being thankful is a good manner to have your healthy breakfast.

Healthy Breakfast: Didache

Didache (dee-da-ke), the Greek word for teaching, is a quarterly Daily Bible Reflection Guide. It wishes to encourage the use of Sacred Scriptures. It also wishes to reach the entire Christian people. These are reflections of ordinary people. This is just a small booklet which you can actually carry when eating your healthy breakfast.

Healthy Breakfast: Sabbath
Scripture Meditations for daily life SABBATH is a study guide for Scripture readings of each day. Its purpose is to encourage us to understand with greater depth the word of God and thereby apply it in their personal lives.

As you finally have your healthy breakfast, these reflections can actually make you feel good and increase your energy all throughout the day. Again, having a healthy breakfast does not only mean eating but it is preparing you to receive all the goodness that life has to offer. You do not only concern yourself with eating your breakfast in a healthy manner but you also break the fast from negative by maintaining a healthy mind.
